If you have recently moved to Japan or are planning on moving soon, here are some useful sites that can help you find a teaching job in the area you plan on living in.

Gaijinpot.com

Gaijinpot is probably the biggest site for foreigners looking for work in Japan. The site is user friendly. Once you sign up, you can create your resume within the site and begin applying to potential employers immediately. There are also many other resources within the site like housing, events, classifieds and so on.

Daijob.com

Daijob is similar to gaijinpot as it allows you to apply directly to potential employers. Daijob lets employers see your online resume through their site. However, you are required to upload your personal resume in order to apply to employers. Daijob is primarily a job-hunting site and doesn’t provide other “living in Japan” services.

Jobsinjapan.com

The Jobs in Japan job search site that allows you to build your resume on their platform and apply directly to potential employers.

This important resource for expats in Japan is updated daily with new jobs across many industries.  Job hunters can quickly and easily find full-time, part-time, and jobs that require no Japanese!

yolo-japan.com

Yolojapan is another useful site not only for job hunting, but it also offers other services like rental assistance, medical assistance and finding sim cards for the lost traveler.

We-xpats.com

We-xpats is probably the biggest job-listing site for foreigners in Japan. The listings include everything from agricultural jobs to IT engineers and factory jobs. This site also offers job consultation services for those who may not know what kind of job they are looking for or for those who are having a lot of trouble navigating the searching process.

Ohayosensei.com

Ohayo sensei is a nice site for those looking for teaching jobs specifically. The site reads like a newsletter and one scrolls through the listings. The site is updated twice a week with new job

Dave’s esl café has been around for quite some time and it has always helped out teachers and job hunters alike. This site has job listings for teachers from all over Asia. Not only does eslcafe provide job listings, but it also provides many resources for teachers such as lesson plans, materials, forums and so on.

The Jalt publications site is presented by the Japanese association for language teaching. As the name implies, this site has a variety of information all related to teaching and education in

Japan. Within the site, teaching jobs and listings can be found along with many other teaching resources and technical information.
